Analyst Supply Chain

Job Summary

  • Responsible for supporting the execution of supply chain management activities, supply chain optimization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Performed in a manner consistent with the overall Materials Management Strategy and company values.
  • Primary plant interface between external suppliers, internal customers and functional peers.
  • Establish and maintain viable relationship with suppliers based on mutual trust, respect, fair treatment and drive accountability to meet standard metrics e.g. quality (PPM), delivery (OTD), and shipping (ASN).

Provide inputs to tracking and forward looking budgeting process as required for areas assigned

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge and experience in Supply Chain. Ability to drive results with moderate level of guidance and direction. Effectively communicates complex information involving Supply Chain to management and external stakeholders within all levels of the organization. Able to facilitate cross-functional meetings.
  • Advanced system knowledge within SAP. Detailed understanding of the inputs to the MRP process and the expected outputs for the respective supply chains. Able to identify and resolve MRP exceptions on a daily basis via standard reporting for shortages, past dues, swaps etc. Ability to produce reports on an ad hoc basis as required.
  • Able to hold suppliers accountable to commitments associated with standard metrics and development.
  • Able to read/understand a project plan and manage to a critical path and drive the project team to meet project timing and budget spending, able to assess risk and proactively mitigate, manage and escalate while demonstrating appropriate level of urgency and perseverance.
  • Execute build out strategy for obsolescence based on defined inventory plan by part number and implement required part set-up changes and last order management activities
  • Uses supply capacity capability data in the analysis of constraints for single-tier, multi-tier, and global suppliers. Identify short and long-term issues requiring resolution. Ensures suppliers have adequate capacity (demonstrated and planned) and effectively define part level capacity triggers to be incorporated into the monthly S&OP process for single-tier, multi-tier, and global suppliers
  • Awareness of current tooling budget and forward looking budgeting process. Provide input to tracking and forward looking budgeting process as required.
  • Identify and address supplier issues that affect key measures including NCM, PPM, assembly conditions-per-hundred (CPH), customer repairs-per-hundred (RPH), and non-conforming packaging (NCP). Coordinates quality sort process via standard QMR procedure. Awareness of sort results as it pertains to part availability and modifying incoming requirements as needed. And ensure uninterrupted supply to operations when quality non-conformances occur.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and/or team and provide guidance to new team members, effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills who understands how to effectively manage external supplier relationships.
  • Proven track record of developing plans addressing and resolving supplier quality and/or performance issues to minimize exposure and prevent recurrence.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineer or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and ability to execute cost reduction activities.
  • Understands production and procurement of raw materials, MRO (Maintenance Repair Operation), capital equipment, components and systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated competence in computer software applications (SAP experience a plus).
  • Travel required
