About the role

Own customer quality issues from initial notification through formal closure, including immediate containment, risk assessment, traceability review, root-cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, and effectiveness verification. Act as the focal point for customer communication on complaints, returns, concessions, deviation requests, quality alerts, scorecards, audits, and recurring quality reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Own customer quality issues from initial notification through formal closure, including immediate containment, risk assessment, traceability review, root-cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, and effectiveness verification.

• Prepare and submit high-quality customer responses using 8D, CAR, QRQC, CVD, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and other structured problem-solving methods within committed timelines.

• Act as the focal point for customer communication on complaints, returns, concessions, deviation requests, quality alerts, scorecards, audits, and recurring quality reviews.

• Analyze customer PPM, complaints, warranty returns, COPQ, defect Pareto, and trend data. Identify systemic risks and drive cross-functional improvement programs.

• Coordinate sorting, inspection, product hold, shipment release, rework, and field containment when required, ensuring clear disposition and full traceability.

• Lead failure analysis of electric motors and components, including electrical, mechanical, dimensional, vibration, noise, assembly, labeling, packaging, and performance-related issues.

• Ensure lessons learned are translated into control plans, PFMEA, work instructions, inspection standards, error-proofing, layered audits, and employee training.

• Support customer audits, visits, virtual GEMBA reviews, APQP/PPAP activities, new product launches, engineering changes, and safe-launch controls.

• Collaborate with Supplier Quality when customer failures are linked to purchased components and ensure supplier corrective actions protect the end customer.

• Maintain accurate complaint records, evidence, samples, reports, and closure approvals in applicable systems and SharePoint folders.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in customer quality, manufacturing quality, process quality, supplier quality, or product engineering in a manufacturing environment.

• Practical experience leading customer complaints and preparing 8D or equivalent corrective-action reports.

• Strong knowledge of quality tools: 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, capability analysis, risk assessment, and basic statistical analysis.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, inspection results, electrical test data, and manufacturing process information.

• Competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with ERP, QMS, complaint-management, or traceability systems is desirable.

• Strong English and Thai communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to communicate directly with local and international customers.

• Good project management, prioritisation, presentation, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

• Able to travel to customer, supplier, and other Regal Rexnord locations in Thailand and overseas when business needs require it.

• Able to support urgent customer containment or investigation outside normal working hours when necessary.
